MTF EMA Fakes Counter-Trend Strategy
MTF EMA Fakes Counter-Trend Strategy is a Pine strategy that trades against short-term stretch when price has stayed below or above an EMA on a chosen higher timeframe for “too long” relative to its own recent history. It reuses the same style of pyramided percent-of-equity entries/exits and hard stop patterns as the ALMA averaging family, but the entry trigger is driven by run-length and overheat metrics derived from completed below-EMA and above-EMA streaks.
Inputs are grouped as a constructor: EMA timeframe and lengths, rolling windows, fake threshold, entry/exit modes (bars vs ratio to average), trade direction, reverse mode, optional stats table, sizing, and hard stop. You can model and compare hypotheses in Strategy Tester—tighten or relax overheat rules, change HTF context, stress-test pyramiding—without rewriting code. Shipped defaults are starting presets for exploration, not a single “correct” live setup.
